SOC-012 is the documented phenomenon that milk no longer has powers.

History

There are years of evidence to support that milk used to have a transformative effect on the adult human body, including the fact that everyone over the age of 60 remembers this and will bitch about it at length. In fact, it is trivial to find old animated cartoons referencing it, such as Transformers (coincidentally aired in the same year that SOC-012 occurred) when Optimus Prime takes a sip of Energon Milk at the behest of the Insecticons and something indescribable happens.

Despite such a massive change to human biology, society has mostly proceeded as if nothing ever changed. You can't go for five minutes on Fur Affinity without finding a painstakingly-rendered comic about milk giving someone's fursona massive mammaries, and everyone in the comments will talk about wanting this to happen to them. SOC-012-1 is the collective societal delusion that drinking milk has any affect on your breast tissue.

It's still uncertain when exactly the change occurred, as no one really cared enough to write it down anywhere, but it's generally accepted that the last day of milk powers was in 1984.

Milk is still an advised source of calcium -- unless you're one of the people afflicted by SOC-012-2, the aftereffect that some people's digestive tracts go through total eversion when exposed to milk.
